Kanika Carr

Kanika Carr - RAD RTS /BA (Hons)

Kanika started her ballet training with Sandra Hartley at Saxtead School of Dance, who taught her for 11 years before gaining a place at Central School of Ballet, London.

Upon graduating in 2010, Kanika danced with London based ballet company Ballet Black, performing nationally and internationally in debuts choreographed by Christopher Marney, Mark Bruce, Arthur Pita, Will Tuckett, Kit Holder, Christopher Hampson, Robert Binet and Mthuthuzeli November.

In 2016, Kanika joined Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York where she performed in pieces by Nacho Duato and Robert Garland. Upon returning to the UK, Kanika joined the cast of The Lion King Musical, West End.

After 11 years performing and gaining her teaching qualification with the Royal Academy of Dance, Kanika is honored to be back in Suffolk, teaching and nurturing the next generation of dancers at Saxtead School of Dance.
